Really impressed with the way they have set up this place. The $10 entrance fee was well worth it. There are a lot of interactive elements! If you have kids, they'll love all the stuff you can touch. If you're a history lover, you'll leave not only with a better understanding of Texas history but also some interesting locals' stories.

Camping at this state park never disappoints. Weekdays are the best with no crowds. Peaceful and quiet. Campsites are well maintained; the staff are welcoming, professional, and friendly.

Just visited the San Felipe de Austin historical site as part of the Webb Society meeting! I loved the experience of seeing the recreation of the colony formed by Stephen F Austin! I also enjoyed seeing the museum that included artifacts that had been found during archaeological digs of the burned colony! I would say that this was one of the best exhibits I’ve been to in terms of historical information as well as interactive experiences!
